Before I write
anything, I want to thank Bea and Patrick for their continue efforts to keep
our classmates together.

I was a wartime baby, born two months before the
Japanese invaded China. After the war, my family lived in Canton. When the communist government reached Canton,
we moved to Hong Kong. My father
encourage me to go to Taiwan for higher education. I got into National Taiwan
University, and after, I went on to attend Stanford University in California,
U.S.A.
I worked hard most of my adult life. I am thankful
that I have three good children and 4 beautiful, sweet granddaughters. They add so much joy to my life. I am healthy, happy, still driving, and
taking care of my business with the help of my oldest granddaughter. During the
last 40 years, my husband and I traveled to over 70 counties. We had seen a lot of the world. I am very
contend with my life and proud to be a member of the class of 1960.
I love the pictures of Taida Campus that Patrick took.
They bring back lots of memories of the old days. I lived in the dormitory for four years. I learned how to get along with people, how
to make my bed and how to keep my desk organized. I remember what I learned and
use that all my life.
A year and half ago, my granddaughter got engaged and
set the wedding day for 4/4/2020. We were all very excited until she said that
she wanted her two dogs in the wedding as the flower girl and ring bearer.
Although the parents and grandparents objected, she and her fiance insisted.
Gradually, we came around to the idea. The wedding was planned for about 200
guests , and preparation was being made. Then, around March, the Coronavius
spreading fast, and the Groverner ordered a ban on gatherings larger than 10
people. They decided to still get married on 4/4/2020 as planned, but with only
8 people and 2 dogs. The rest of the guests were invited to watch the wedding
on Facebook. They will be invited to celebrate next year. By the way, the two
dogs behaved very well during the ceremony, so I don't have to worry about them
next year.
Let us all sail through 2020 safely.
A big happy family
