重逢

 

Laura is too humble to write about herself.  Instead, I would like to say a few words about Laura.  She and I enjoy talking to each other over the phone.  She lives by herself after John passed away in 2016.  She has two sons:  the older son has 3 children (2 boys and one girl) and lives only a 15-minute drive away.  The younger son has one boy and lives in North California.  During these difficult times she is very lucky to be taken good care by her son as well as good neighbors.  She is fond of reading interesting posts by old classmates; I hope you enjoy knowing something about Laura too.

在台大女生宿舍，妳是和関明德、馬明如同寢室嗎？

我記得西珍常去妳們那吃中飯，甚至睡午覺。

還有，我好像認得一二位常去女生宿舍為妳 ”站崗“ 的男生！

往事如煙。匆匆60多年了！

Yes, my family was in Chia-Yi at the time when I was in Taida, however my father was stationed at Tau-Yuan Air Base.

 

It was a sweet memory at the girls dormitory Room 106 on the first floor. Oh yes, Guan Ming De, Ma Ming Ru also Ye Yo Chin (關明徳、馬明如、葉糼青) (you may know her) were my roommates. SJ(劉西珍) often stopped by our room waiting for Ming De to go some places. Vivia Young and Chang Man(楊士京,張曼) were upstairs.

 

Hum, as for my boy friend, that was long long ago!
